The Los Alamitos PTA is a non-profit volunteer organization that supports Los Alamitos Elementary School. Our PTA's goal is provide vital programs, supplies, financial support, and promote a collaborative relationship between parents, teachers, and administrators.

We Need You on the PTA Board!

We are looking for members of our Los Alamitos community to join our PTA Executive Board for 2026-27 school year! More details about specific positions will be shared soon, but if you’re interested in getting involved, please email us or connect with any of our current board members.

Serving on the PTA Executive Board offers a behind-the-scenes look at how our fundraising efforts work and provides a direct way to support and strengthen our school community.

Our board is full of working parents so we are mindful of time restraints and hold meetings one evening per month.

Hicklebee's Book Fair!

The Hicklebee’s Book Fair is coming to Los Alamitos! Every spring, our PTA is thrilled to host a second book fair to promote summer reading. This year, we’re delighted to continue our partnership with our local children’s bookstore, Hicklebee’s, who will generously provide the books for our fair.

Date: Tuesday to Thursday, March 24th to 26th

Time: 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM

Location: Library

We’re excited to have a special Family Night on Tuesday, March 24th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Pioneer Crab Feed!

Come hungry (and thirsty!) to the Pioneer High School Athletics 2026 Crab Feed

It’s an all-you-can-eat + all-you-can-drink night that keeps the fun (and the cracking!) going from 5:00–11:00 PM - and every ticket helps support Pioneer Athletics.

Multicultrual Fair!

This year’s Multicultural Fair will take place on Friday April 24th from 4-7pm. A beloved tradition at this school, we once again invite you to share your culture with us, whether it’s helping with your country’s booth (or starting one if it isn’t represented yet!), fashion show, or with a group cultural performance. Due to time constraints, solo and duo performances are encouraged to perform at the Los Alamitos Variety Show on March 20th (sign up by March 1st). More info to come!

Volunteers Needed!

The front office is in need of two volunteers to help organize the uniform closet during the minimum days we have in March (12th and 13th) after school. If you're interested, please email Mrs. Fisher at rfisher@sjusd.org. Thank you!!

Incoming 2025/26 Castillero 6th grade parents!

Castillero PTA is looking for incoming 6th grade parents to serve on the board. Castillero PTA funds and/ or runs events and programs like school dances, carnival, spirit wear, teacher and staff appreciation, and teacher grants. Reading Lab Volunteers Needed!

The Reading Lab is a tutoring program for students who would benefit from extra help with fundamental reading skills.

We are looking for volunteers who can come in once per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) from 12:45pm - 2:00pm during the school year. Training for new tutors is provided!! Helping these new & growing readers is super fun and rewarding!

***Volunteers must be registered with the district and approved by Los Alamitos.***
