Help Us Pick Next Year’s Dandy Day Theme!
We’re already dreaming up ideas for next year’s Dandy Day, and we want your creativity to shine! Past themes have included Candyland, Go for the Gold, Out of This World, and this year’s Under the Sea. What should our next big adventure be?
Think fun, imaginative, and full of school spirit. Send your theme ideas to losalamitospta@gmail.com by Friday, November 21st. We'll compile ideas, narrow them down and our 4th graders will vote on next year's theme! Let’s make next year’s Dandy Day one to remember!

Shawn Harris is coming to Los Alamitos!
Author Shawn Harris will be our guest on January 27th for the release of:
Let’s Be Bees

Shawn Harris is an award-winning creator of books for kids. He received a Caldecott Honor for his debut authored book Have You Ever Seen a Flower, which the New York Times called a “stunning tour de force.” His work as an illustrator includes What Can a Citizen Do?, Her Right Foot, and the Newbery Medal-winning bestseller The Eyes and the Impossible, all written by Dave Eggers; A Polar Bear in the Snow by Mac Barnett; and Everyone’s Awake by Colin Meloy, among others.
Please place your order by January 6th. Books will be delivered to your school. You can purchase books by Shawn Harris at: hicklebees.com/shawnharris-losalamitos
