The Los Alamitos PTA is a non-profit volunteer organization that supports Los Alamitos Elementary School. Our PTA's goal is provide vital programs, supplies, financial support, and promote a collaborative relationship between parents, teachers, and administrators.

Teacher Retirements
Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating Ms. Tchelepi and Ms. Locker on Friday! We also appreciate everyone who contributed to the group gifts for them. They were so thankful for all the well wishes and for everyone who stopped by to celebrate. A special gift from our entire community was presented to them. Thank you all for your kindness and support!

Yearbooks
-All yearbooks will distributed to the students by the teachers within the last few days of school.
-We will not have any extra yearbooks on hand once they are distributed.

Math Kangaroo Honorees
This is our first year conducting Math Kangaroo at Los Alamitos, and we had over 50 students participate in the competition. We are excited to celebrate some incredible achievements this year.
Romil, a 4th grade student from Mrs. A’s class, earned a perfect score in Math Kangaroo 2026 and secured National Rank 1 nationwide for 4th grade — an extraordinary accomplishment!
Several other students also achieved outstanding results by placing within the top 20 national ranks. Representing 4th grade were Aston Huang, Matei Georgiev, and Siya Patel. From 3rd grade, Nihaal Kruthiventi earned an impressive national ranking, while Selah Ko and Ved Jain from 2nd grade also performed exceptionally well in the competition.
We will be honoring these students at the assembly on Monday. We are incredibly proud of all our students for their hard work, perseverance, and enthusiasm for mathematics.

Reading Lab Volunteers Needed!
The Reading Lab is a tutoring program for students who would benefit from extra help with fundamental reading skills.
We are looking for volunteers who can come in once per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) from 12:45pm - 2:00pm during the school year. Training for new tutors is provided!! Helping these new & growing readers is super fun and rewarding!
***Volunteers must be registered with the district and approved by Los Alamitos.***
