We would especially love to welcome and celebrate all of our incredible PTA volunteers who helped make this year’s events such a success. Your time, energy, and support have made a meaningful difference in our school community, and we are so grateful for all you have done!

We will have breakfast and coffee, and we hope you can join us as we wrap up the year and show our appreciation.

Warmly,
Los Alamitos PTA Executive Board

Multicultrual Faire

A heartfelt thank you to the amazing organizers of this year’s Multicultural Faire: Sadie Fenton, Anjana Ramamurthi, Megha Janweja, Susmita Nandi, Jodi Chan, and Zeina Maria. Your time, care, and coordination helped create such a special event for our Los Alamitos community!

Thank you as well to all of the families, students, and participants who shared their cultures, traditions, food, music, dances, clothing, and stories. It was a beautiful display of the many cultures represented at Los Alamitos, and a meaningful reminder of what makes our school community so vibrant and special.

Art Show-Volunteers Needed

The Art Vistas Showcase is May 5th from 4.00 PM to 6.30 PM in the cafeteria followed by the Castillero Orchestra’s performance 6.30PM to 7.00PM!

Teacher Retirements

This year, we are saying goodbye to two of our beloved teachers who are retiring after many years of dedication to education—Ms. Locker (Kindergarten) and Ms. Tchelepi (TK). Both have been part of our school community for a long time and have made a lasting impact on so many of our children.

A group of parents are organizing a special send-off for them. If you would like to contribute to a group gift, please send any amount you wish to the Venmo accounts below by May 13th:

• Ms. Tchelepi: @sogol-jacks (last 4 digits: 5809)

• Ms. Locker: @lisa-aiken-26 (last 4 digits: 1267)

Please include your student’s last name in the memo.

Since this is a group gift, a suggested contribution is between $1–$10, but you are welcome to give any amount you feel comfortable with.

Please note, this is not a school or PTA-sponsored effort; we are sharing this message here to help reach our school community.

More details about a send-off gathering—where everyone is welcome to participate—will be shared soon. In the meantime, please save the date: Friday, May 15th.

Thank you for helping us celebrate these wonderful teachers!
